So, after blogging in Norwegian so far, I guess it's time for the first blog in English. I have to commit that my number one reason for doing this is that I'm at school and run out of the letters æ, ø and å. But like Wincent in my hose would put it: "It's good for you!". He's probably right.
It's been a while since I blogged. Don't know why, I guess that every day life routines suddenly entered my world here in South Africa too.
So, to the core: There is one thing I've been thinking of lately. No, wait, since I came. It's the BIG difference between people. The rich and the poor. Everyone does not have the same opportunities in life. But who is to blame? Are we just lucky or unlucky in life?
Well, I never feel very safe walking in my neighborhood.
I never walk alone in the streets after its dark.
So.
Living here.
Feel how it's like, make me think.
How peaceful it is to live in Norway. And classless.
We all have the same opportunities in a much bigger sence.
When I walk home after my usual grocery shopping I walk through the bus- and train station as almost the only white person. As I would walk to rock climbing later, I find myself passing beggars and homeless people, entering the door of City Rock, a place where I can only see white people. Black people would help you park the car, while white people would welcome you to do your expensive hobby.
It's just a door in between us, but it's not everyone who have the opportunity to walk through it.
Am I lucky to be one of them?
I guess I am. But what if it was reverse?
Why am I on the side where the grass is soo, soo green?
Somehow I feel a little bit guilty..
This video is not about racism, but rather seeing the South Africa from another perspective...
So waht if it really was REVERSE?
Pleace excuse my errors!
